The LIGHT LAB at The Museum of Science and Industry
Today we visited the MOSI to check out their current event The Light Lab.
This FREE event is for all ages, with immersive learning activities and illuminating, interactive learning opportunities!
My children are 3 and 5 and they loved it 🥰 My youngest can become extremely dysregulated in busy public areas, he thrives off constant stimulation so this event was perfect for him! The wide array of lights and sounds and the ability to roam around freely trying everything at his own pace worked a treat.
(For children who struggle with sound there are lots of free ear defenders available to use)
We spent around an hour and a half here, it’s not a huge area but you can take as long as you want using the many different pieces of equipment, experiments and experiences, it’s something to enjoy!
We spent lots of time making shadow puppets and playing with the story board!
If you haven’t been to the MOSI before, there are a number of number of other floors and the sections to visit. I’ve included a few clips from our favourite zone!
We spent around 3 hours and also used the picnic area for lunch. There is quite a lot of construction work currently taking place so there are a number of building closed, however as mentioned there is still lots to do!
💡💡💡this event ENDS on Saturday 4th January 💡💡💡
