The Joker always wins 🃏

Yesterday we officially opened the doors to Chaka’s Plantbaed Café in Serenbe, Georgia, and my heart is full.

My sister Tammy and I fell in love with Chef Anne Onyeneho’s food as customers first, so being able to bring this next chapter of Plantbaed to Serenbe feels very personal. The café is built around whole-food, plant-based cooking made without seed oils, GMOs or soy, and yes, there is a Chaka Bowl on the menu, with black beans, walnut meat, cilantro-lime wild rice, pumpkin-seed jalapeño pesto, pico de gallo and a little “Through the Fire” house sauce. You’ll also find favorites like walnut meat street tacos and the soursop colada.

But this is about more than good food.

Through our partnership with the @Thechakakhanfoundation, the café is also about community, inclusion and creating opportunity. As part of yesterday’s opening celebration, we unveiled a new playground communication board at Terra School to help non-speaking children communicate, connect and play. The café also plans to create employment opportunities for neurodivergent adults and support Foundation programming.
