To everyone caring for someone living with Alzheimer’s, this post is for you. A few days ago, my beautiful mother-in-law Margaret, aged 87, lost her husband of over 65 years. She was just 21 when they married. Now she’s facing life without the man she has spent almost her entire adult life with. And she is living with Alzheimer’s. Spending time with her has been incredibly precious. She may not remember what we did yesterday, but the Margaret I know and love is still there. The cheeky, funny, kind, caring woman who has been such an incredible mother-in-law to me. With patience, reassurance, affection and making her feel safe and loved, I still see her beautiful personality shine through. Those moments mean everything. Margaret has never been one for girly pampering, but recently she’s started letting me give her facials, massage oils into her skin and simply look after her. And she absolutely loves it. Seeing her relax, smile and enjoy that attention brings me so much happiness. It’s taught me something important. Just because someone living with Alzheimer’s struggles to care for themselves doesn’t mean they’ve stopped wanting to feel beautiful, comforted, confident and cared for. Dignity doesn’t disappear with memory loss. Neither does the need for tenderness, affection or human connection. Margaret has given me so much love and kindness over the years. Now it’s my turn to step up and be there for her. But I won’t glamourise caring for someone with Alzheimer’s. It’s hard. Relentless. Frustrating. Emotionally and physically exhausting. There are moments when your patience is tested and you feel completely overwhelmed. Being of service to someone you love isn’t always easy. But it can be deeply rewarding. I’m learning that love isn’t always about grand gestures. Sometimes it’s simply showing up, again and again, even on the difficult days. There are so many of us navigating this journey, with its heartbreaks, challenges and precious little moments of joy. Even when someone may not remember what you did for them , the comfort, dignity and love they felt in that moment matters. Memories may fade, but our responsi

After 12 years, 5 kids, 3 businesses, and everything life has thrown at us along the way… we finally did it. 🥹🏡 We bought a house! It’s been a long journey getting here, but we finally have a place that’s ours and that our family can call home. A place for our kids to grow up, make memories, celebrate holidays and birthdays, and just be together. We’re so thankful for our family and everyone who has helped us along the way. We truly couldn’t have done this without the love and support we’ve had throughout the years. We’re excited for this new chapter and everything that comes with making this place our home. 🤎 Here’s to many more years of growing, learning, struggling, laughing, and Nguyening together. 🥹🔑 #NguyeningYears #NewHome #NewJourney #Family
Here's three movements you might not be using that absolutely needs to be in your program Number one the adductor machine AKA the good girl machine You have this whole network of adductor muscles like that longus, brevis, pectineus, gracilis, obturator externus, and the adductor magnus that also does hip extension The adductors fill out the inner part of your thigh so that you don't end up with a thigh gap because that shit has been out of style for some time. So don't neglect the adductor machine because it's the only way to hit some of those muscles hip thrust There's still factions of guys who will bend over for the entire gym and spread their cheeks in an RDL but will say doing hip thrusts are gay What's gay is not doing thrusts because you're an insecure little man that doesn't know the glutes are the largest muscles in your whole body and that you should def be doing an alpha level s-tier move for them. And that's the thrust Thrusts are great because they have a high propensity for loading, short learning curve, low injury risk and transfer over to other big moves like the squat and the deadlift. If you're not doing hip thrusts then maybe stop listening to dumb strength coaches who never got out of 1985 calf raises Most people say that calves are entirely genetic but it's fact that all muscles are entirely genetic and that calves will grow just fine if you stop treating them like yesterdays empty donut box and instead treat them like that girl that's out of your league that you wanna date Meaning, treat them right and give them the attention they deserve. Train them first in the workout, with a straight leg, hold the stretch for 3-5 seconds and go heavy for 4-8 reps for 2-3 sets two to three times a week. That will take them from low leg asparagus spears to at least something respectable in a pair of shorts Drop a like and a follow for more tips
