Haven’t really been sure how to engage on this app as of recently. Feels like a weird balance of trying to receive information and protecting my own peace.

I have seen the sense of fear and hopelessness grow as we once again are being told are the problem in a country that has the historical patterns of a mf slaughterhouse.

I see my own people use our labor as a justification for our existence. That hurts. My family has never found peace in resting or staying still, but I’d like to make it clear that we know ourselves as worthy and powerful regardless of the amount of food we put on your plate.

To my immigrant family and friends, I urge you to look further into how this country has treated immigrants throughout its history. To see which immigrants have been prioritized and which have been disregarded, removed and continually used as bait whenever there is crisis.

I certainly don’t have the answers but I do know that there is beauty in seeing how we continue to live with love despite the forces moving against us. That is who we are, please stand firm in your history and humanity.
