Let’s really talk about this ⬇️⬇️⬇️
👀✨ Coloring is a process, but the aftercare is where the real work begins. Your stylist can give you a flawless color, but maintaining healthy, vibrant locs is up to you.
💧 Deep conditioning, moisturizing, and protecting your locs are key to preventing dryness or breakage. Healthy locs are a team effort!
**** A few shampoo tips ****
💧Avoid Hot Water
• Hot water opens the hair cuticle, which can cause color to fade faster.
• It also strips natural oils, leading to dryness and brittleness.
💧Opt for Lukewarm Water
• Lukewarm water is ideal for cleansing without overly stripping moisture or causing excessive fading.
• It gently opens the cuticle to allow cleansing while still protecting your color.
💧Cool Water for Rinsing
• Finish with cool water to close the cuticle, locking in moisture and sealing the color.
• This also helps to add a natural shine to your locs.
*** Being mindful of water temperature during your wash routine can make a big difference in preserving your color vibrancy, hydration and overall loc health!
