Not just another Lemon tree.
From the citrus family , this one is the calamondin tree, I think the fruit is also called calamansi, narangi and a few other names.
When you get such a big bounty you have to think beyond “When life gives you lemons ,make lemonade.”
My parents have this beauty in their garden. It’s always a joint effort of theirs - picking the fruit carefully so nothing goes to waste, bottling the juice, making squash, slicing it and making candied fruit, a variety of jams and marmalades and a delicious pickle too.
Last month I was lucky to get a big batch of fresh fruit, which I stored away . I have realized the shelf life increases by keeping them whole . I am so happy I did because many days later I was given a delicious cake recipe to try.
Total hit, but that used up only 8-10 of them.
I was left with many more. I had been seeing time and again on IG people showing marmalade and pickles till one day I saw a detailed recipe, with a nostalgic story and explained in the most calm yet precise manner. The science behind the pectin and gel took me back to food science class in college. Thank you @maroofculmen this recipe is now going to be written in my book too.

I had to try and the result is a few bottles of absolute JOY
A toast slathered with salted butter and a nice dollop of marmalade and you are transported to another world.

How delicious the marmalade and cake look! Wish I stayed closer to you, then it would be home made toast and homemade marmalade for breakfast. Btw, what is the size of this fruit.m? I too have a tree in my garden that bears marble sized citrus fruits that my gardener calls narangi. I use it to make orangeade which is very refreshing.

So reminds me of my.daadis loot I'd get when she would visit us. Do you also add wax on top to preserve it well? As a child I'd be fascinated with the wax :)
