You don’t realize the blessings that could come with being a “daddy’s girl”. My dad was my first love. Growing up I was always told that I was his twin and when I was born I softened his heart. He would tell everyone “Cindy had her boys I got my girl”. Everyone says how great it must be with me being the youngest and the only girl, I’m just grateful I was Bill Cobb’s daughter.

I can sit here and cry remembering all the memories we’ve shared, think about the things I won’t get to experience with you such as, you walking me down the aisle or getting to be a grandpa and get angry..but instead I’m going to thank you. Thank you for our McDonalds runs and driveway talks going back to as far as I can remember. Thank you for our father daughter dances. Thank you for always getting me a Valentine’s Day chocolate box every year. Thank you for always opening any car door for me. Thank you for your attempts into teaching me how to golf and fish. Thank you for being on the same page when I need to bitch about something (even if I’m wrong, you were probably just scared to disagree with me). Thank you for always singing off key and dancing horribly because you know it embarrassed me. I wish I could see that right now. Thank you for crying with me when we watched American Idol. Thank you for making fun of me for smiling when I’m listening to music with my headphones on because “I was in my own world”. Thank you for supporting my daydreams when I would say I’ve had my wedding planned out since I was 13…and for showing everyone the songs we would have danced too.

All in all, thank you for being the best dad. I’m sitting here waiting for you to walk through the door…but I know you’re here. I promise I’m going to get to Italy this year and go to the Dolomites if it’s the last thing I do. Please send me all the signs even if it’s a bud light lime bottle because I know that was your favorite. I wish I had more to say. I only hope I’ll see you in my dreams and all around me. Send Poppy, Poppa, Uncle Gary and just everyone my love for me. I’ll be a devoted giants fan next season. From your “little princess” and your “little love” always…. I love you so much daddy.
