For Christmas, we bought Callie tickets to watch @uga_wbb vs. South Carolina. We also bought her Summer Davis' jersey to wear to the game. Back in November, when UGA's season started, Callie started watching Summer play and fell in love with her! When I was searching for a youth Summer Davis jersery, I found out that she has an identical twin, Indya! I revealed my findings to Callie, omitting the part about the jersey search, of course! Callie thought that was so cool, but that's not a shock to us, we come across identical twins all the time, it's just a love wink from God.
Rewind about a week ago, I found Summer on Instagram and gained enough courage to message her!! (What moms will do for their babies🥰) I told her that we were coming to the game and that I have a little girl who loves basketball and loves watching her play. Would there be any way we could get a picture with her and Indya? I also told her that Callie's basketball number is #25, and theirs is #23 & #24! How cool is that! 23, 24, 25! I told her that Callie is also an identical twin, but we lost her twin at birth. To my surprise, She wrote back! She said she would love to meet Callie and that she would find us after the game!
Callie loved EVERY minute of the game last night and cheered when Summer and Indya were on the court! When the 4th quarter hit, she started getting nervous....she would say, "Do you really think they will come find me?" How will they know it's me? What do I say? How many pictures do I get? How much taller do you think they are than me? 🤣 Then the buzzer went off for the last time, and the teams shook hands. Callie started looking for them, and here they both came in our direction up the stairs to our seats! Callie's face was priceless, and the smile she had could not be removed. She got her hugs and picture, but totally forgot to get their autographs 🤣 She had her sharpie ready and everything! She also was in such shock that she left her Lululemon bag in the seat🤪 She didn't notice until we were already 40 mins homebound!
Thank you @davistwins5 for making my girl's night and making her feel so important! You will never know what that means to this mama!
