Another Shade of Schedds… OUT NOW!💫🌠
Struck another match! Went and started up anew! Flurried, I decided last week to sit down and finally record all the songs I’ve written these past 3 years or so. The resulting collection is now yours for the listening!! Think of it as less an album and more an archive—how these 15 songs happened to sound last week when I turned the mics on.
In so many ways this project feels like February. It’s the earliest stages of a beginning, when you aren’t even sure where you’re gonna go quite yet. Everything’s still coming into focus. It’s sleet coming down hard and stepping down into a slush-flooded gutter. It’s still gonna be 60 degrees tomorrow somehow. It’s a strange, new shade of me for sure (hence the title) and I’m thrilled to be sharing it with you.🫶🌈🌈
I wanna dedicate it to everybody in my life—friends and family—who, at any point in the past 3 years said “yes” when I hit them with the awkward question of “can I play you a song I’m working on?” Y’all know who you are…that’s a very special thing to share with someone and a very generous sort of time and attention to have given me. I am very, very grateful<3🫂🫂🫂
And huge thank you to my dear friends Valeria Beauchamp (who expertly shot the front and back cover photos) and Max Biscarr over at Fuwap Records (with whose computer the CDs were burned.) Thank you so much for your time and absurd generosity!!
Another Shade of Schedds is streaming on all the music platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, Soundcloud, Bandcamp, YouTube, etc.) and also will be available in the physical realm as a CD starting (weather permitting) on Friday. Do enjoy the songs🎸And I invite excitedly y’all’s feedback (positive, negative, impressionistic, detailed, whateva!)
There’s links in my bio, or you can just search up “Schedds” wherever you listen to your music:) thank you so much you guys!! Big Hug🫂
