I’d been wanting to do another one of these but with white denim, and when the logo removal on this sweatshirt went sideways, it was the perfect excuse. I don’t have a class for this but I do have a tutorial on my YouTube about upcycling a sweatshirt and this denim weaving technique is one part I walk through. I did an experiment on this one though, where rather than using my usual zigzag to sew down the strips, I did a 2-thread coverstitch on my @berninausa L890 Overlock/coverstitch machine and it worked super well. Except when I decided to individually tie off every thread on the inside πŸ˜…. This is one of my favorite ways to cover up a logo or stain or revive a boring old sweatshirt. And yes, it holds up in the wash if you don’t my way.
