Annautaq meets Uki! 🦭💙

Whisker to whisker and at his own pace, rescued male Pacific walrus calf Annautaq met Uki, our 2-year-old female walrus who was also rescued.

They interacted this week through a protective barrier, which is an exciting step in Annautaq's gradual introduction to our walrus herd.

Our animal care team will continue bringing him to see Uki for daily visits as he gets comfortable and acclimated to the different walrus habitats.

And this is just the beginning! 🥹

Annautaq will soon have the chance to meet Uki free contact. Stay tuned! 💙
