On behalf of friends and family, it is with a heavy heart that we share that our dearest Helen was taken from us too soon. If you knew Helen, you knew how full of life she was. She simply radiated. Helen was talented, creative, and so much fun. She loved to travel and was a gifted ceramic artist. She spent years living abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she met the love of her life, Adam, and started her PR company, Influential PR.  Together, they built a life rooted in family, adventure and love. Helen adored her family. Her happiest place was next to Adam and their two beautiful children, along with their dog Bonnie, who was always by her side (and usually in her lap).  Helen had friends from every chapter of her life: those she grew up with in Houston, her friends from the University of Arizona, and the many people she met during her years abroad and their time in Austin and Aspen.  To know Helen was to love her. The number of people grieving Helen and Adam is a testament to how many people were lucky enough to have them in their lives. Helen embodied a life well lived. She embraced the world, made beautiful things, built lasting relationships, and loved her people fiercely.  Her light was extraordinary, and it will continue to shine through the artwork she made, the legacy she built, and the countless lives she touched.
He beat cancer. We just never imagined we’d still have to say goodbye. 💔 These last four months, we fought so hard for our baby. Through the diagnosis, amputation, clinical trial, recovery, and all the highs and lows in between. And he did it. Our boy beat cancer. The trial worked. We could breathe again.. We truly thought we had more time. But after everything his body had endured, the weight and strain on his remaining legs became too much. And after fighting so hard to keep him here, we were faced with the most heartbreaking decision of our lives. Letting him rest when all we wanted was more time. What makes me so incredibly proud is knowing his fight was bigger than us. Through his clinical trial, he contributed to research that may help other dogs and families facing the same diagnosis. Our boy left a legacy, and I hope one day another family gets the extra time we so desperately wished for. But selfishly, I wanted more ordinary days. More moments like these. More of the love, comfort, and protection that he gave us so effortlessly. The house feels painfully empty without him. I still look for him everywhere. I don’t think I’ll ever get used to a world where he’s not waiting for me. My sweet boy, I would choose you a thousand times over. Every appointment, every sleepless night, every hard decision. You were worth all of it.. You took a part of me with you..and I will spend forever missing you. 💛#rottweiler #dogmom #dogsofinstagram #heartbreak
