We’re excited to announce that we’ve joined forces with @nolsedu to support the re-introduction of their Lightweight Program, along with a scholarship to help a future student take part in it! This program fully aligns with our own goal to give adventurers everywhere a better backpacking experience.
We believe that lightweight outdoor gear built with modern, durable, and waterproof materials allows backpackers to shift their focus to the places they discover and explore, feel confident, and have more fun. Coupled with the proven instruction and comprehensive skills that NOLS provides its students, we can’t think of a better way to set someone up for success wherever they choose to adventure. We’re thrilled to work alongside NOLS to make this scholarship happen.
The NOLS Lightweight Program entails a 14-day course through Wyoming’s Wind River Range, where students learn how to assemble their own lightweight kit, experiment with systems, and learn the fundamentals of backcountry travel and wilderness medicine.

This is so rad! Now if only I could find a @nolsedu program for my 8 and 6 year old wilderness guys that isn't just me taking them backpacking.
