A moment in history, surrounded by history. ✊🏾🖤
Looking back at my time in Selma for the 60th anniversary of the Selma Bridge Crossing Jubilee in 2025.
There’s something powerful about standing in the very places I’ve spent so much time reading, writing and learning about—places where ordinary people showed extraordinary courage and helped change the course of history.
Selma will always be more than a chapter in a history book. The legacy is still here. The stories are still here. And they still deserve to be told.
