Got into a very bad wreck yesterday morning. My boyfriend Eli and I were headed up the i5 to meet Peyton and Kurtis and play our show today in Olympia when all of a sudden we heard a loud thunk and lost control of the vehicle. We were pulled directly into the side of a hill and the van flipped. Extremely lucky to be alive. Extremely grateful that we are not more severely injured. We lost some gear. We lost the van. Got a rental. Worst wreck I've ever been in. I'm still very shook up. After the fact I think we determined the culprit was the tread blowing off one of our tires? But we checked the tires and the van before we left, so goes to show sometimes bad stuff just happens.... Seatbelts absolutely saved our life. A kind stranger pried our door open and freed us from the upside down vehicle. My takeaway is GRATITUDE.

In other news the bill tonight in Olympia is just us & @grrrizzlyband ! The show is still going on! And we are still very eager and excited to play for you! My neck and shoulders are very sore so I might lean on yall in the audience to do some of the moving and headbanging that I'm not capable of at the moment.

Also my good pal @annakimwildflower gave me a ton of @violetnovaaa Face Scrubs and Charcoal Mud Masks to give away for free to anyone who comes to our last 4 shows of the year- get em while supplies last. It's good shit 🌸🌹🦋⚡️

Here's your reminder that Casting Directors are not Gods. We're just people who happen to work in casting.

We know some stuff about stuff. We don't know other stuff about other stuff. Some of us know a lot about certain stuff and absolutely nothing about completely different stuff.

We have experience, opinions, preferences, biases, and occasionally some spectacularly bad takes.

And yes, there's absolutely value in listening to people who have experience in this industry. But that doesn't mean everything a Casting Director says should be treated like divine wisdom.

Something one Casting Director swears by might be something another Casting Director couldn't care less about.

So listen to advice, consider the source, take what works for you, and feel free to leave the rest.

You don't need to agree with everything we say just because we have Casting Director in our job title.

Anyway, please don't eat paperclips.

And Kevin Bacon is a person.

if you want me to do a free master class on cortisol and how to regulate it .. comment “ i feel blessed “

CORTISOL IS NOT YOUR ENEMY.

We’ve become obsessed with lowering cortisol, but your body needs cortisol to function.

It should rise. It should fall. It should respond when needed.

A single morning blood test doesn’t tell you everything about your cortisol rhythm. And fatigue, anxiety, poor sleep, or belly fat do not automatically mean you have high cortisol.

Before buying another cortisol-lowering supplement, work on your foundations.

Sleep. Morning light. Movement. Recovery. Nutrition. Emotional well-being.

And if you suspect a genuine hormonal disorder, seek proper medical evaluation.

The goal isn’t less cortisol.

The goal is a healthier rhythm and a more adaptable stress response.

Save this. Share it with someone who’s been frightened by all the cortisol misinformation online.
