Sen. Tim Scott says Republicans warned for months about an alleged scheme involving a Senate candidate dubbed "Decoy Dan" — and now the Justice Department is investigating.

Scott is accusing the candidate, who shares incumbent Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan's name, of using similar campaign branding to confuse Alaska voters and siphon votes away from him.

Democratic candidate Mary Peltola's campaign denies involvement, while the other Sullivan says he entered the race independently.
