This Bentley is a tribute to the legendary Blue Train Bentley the car that Woolf Barnato, Bentley’s Chairman in 1930 waged a bet over a dinner party at The Carlton Hotel that he could beat overnight express train that took wealthy passengers from Calais in the north of France to the Cote d’Azur the next day at as the train chuffed out of Cannes, Barnato and secretary Dale Bourn even finished their drinks at The Carlton before climbing into the Bentley taking off into the fog for the 786-mile drive reaching the Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall 15 minutes before the Blue Train pulled into Calais making international news.
