Photo dump of last weekend & earlier this week. STILL feeling a performance high. Years ago I wasn't in the right mental space & cracked under pressure & walked away from one of my greatest passions & the opportunity to perform at such a historical venue, & lived all these years later with the regret from basically giving up when I had been so close. This past week/weekend I finally got another shot at redemption & to experience what eluded me this whole time. In a way it was a bit of a closure & new beginning; almost a rebirth 🐦‍🔥 & reminder of who I once was & STILL am at my core. As we rehearsed & performed the work of @danforrestmusic (#BreathOfLife ) so many (existential) thoughts & emotions flooded me & have continued to flood me even days after. I have never felt like I have these past days; almost like I regained a part of myself and my identity. Like a fire 🔥 has been reignited. My soul & spirit has been awakened after being dormant for so long; I feel ALIVE again. I am forever grateful 🙏 for the opportunity & experience to have once again thrown that tuxedo from my days of @montclairstateu @montclairchoral University Singers & Chorale back on & finally get to set foot on that legendary stage where one only makes it through #PracticePracticePractice (@carnegiehall ).
