Learjet N722BD’s final flight, recreated using our models in a 3D simulation with its flight track and the real air traffic control audio.

Miami Center warned the crew the turn to Freeport looked “pretty bad.” Moderate to extreme precipitation, 25 miles out, a storm about 100 miles across. Controllers cleared them to deviate left or right.

The pilot answered “Roger, we’ll look at it” and stayed direct Freeport. Then she reported ice and moderate turbulence.

Then the mayday. Descending 10,000 feet per minute. Overspeed. Descending 20,000 feet per minute. Banking 60 degrees.

“We’re going to crash into the ground.”

The controller’s answer: “I’m here with you. Talk to me.”

The jet fell from about 37,300 feet to 325 feet over Greenacres, Florida in roughly 75 seconds...

ACP Manasvi Vashishta, who led the protest by police personnel outside the Delhi Police Headquarters on Monday, has been suspended for ‘violation of discipline’.

The suspension comes a day after around 100 police personnel, including women officers, protested outside Gate No. 1 of the Delhi Police Headquarters (PHQ) over the transfers of ACP Manasvi Vashistha and Inspector Arun Kumar. The police personnel demanded a meeting with Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar and the reinstatement of the two officials.

An incident on October 23 at Shahdara police station is behind the protests. An advocate allegedly sustained a serious head injury during a scuffle at the station, prompting district court lawyers to launch an indefinite strike, demanding action against the police personnel involved. The strike was called off after the transfer orders were issued. The police personnel, however, opposed the transfers and sought action against the lawyers involved in the confrontation.
