Drop The Hammer 📽 by @forestpostcards Hammerhead worm hunts a slug If you can’t tell which of these animals is the hammerhead worm, it's the one with the head that resembles a half moon or shovel. Come to think of it, shovelhead worm sounds even cooler, and if the hammerhead shark didn't already exist, it may have been named the shovelhead worm - but we will never know now will we. Anyway, they don't have eyes… I mean, that's not technically true but they can’t see images, they are more for detecting light. The certainly don’t use them to hunt, they would starve, no instead they use that flat part of their head like a nose/tongue combo, tasting and smelling their surroundings by sweeping their heads back and forth until they pickup on something, like the slime trail left behind by this slug All that's left to do is follow the trail until it reaches the slug who left it and attach itself so it can’t get away. The mouth of the worm is located on its midsection, not on its head - It sits in the middle of the worm's belly. Once attached, the mouth secretes digestive enzymes that begin digesting the the slug, and the worm feeds by ingesting the liquified slug, until only the worm remains - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Nature Is Metal is powered by you! Coming a bit late, but this was the last resort we went to! But when we walked in, we immediately felt a bit sad? 🌊 This, despite Le Meredien being pretty beyond our wildest imagination because we knew we would have to leave in 3 days. But it lasted only for a bit because it was time for the endless free Rose which was served at the ring of the bell, and God knows, we rang it quite a bit. 🔔 But the champagne at the breakfast came without the ringing of the bell and that was nice too, and it came overlooking the beach where we collected a botique full of shells and an army of hermit crabs. 🐚 we We were the first ones at the pool at quite daringly colorful Au Soliel and the last ones to leave, because we got too good at doing nothing. 🏊‍♂️ And when you’re doing nothing, you want the breakfast to float towards you than you going to it. Then some jets were skied on, and we wrapped up our trip while the in-house astronomer showed us the workings of the telescope and helped us spot some stars. And when we did spot them, we thanked our stars because how else could we have experienced this? ✨✨✨ @lemeridienmaldives #LeMeridienMaldives #DestinationUnlocked #SavourTheGoodLife #MarriottBonvoy #hostedstay @transmaldivian transmaldivian
