This weekend, despite being incredibly tired and running on nearly zero sleep, I made the 7-hour drive to Mentor, Ohio. not just to to get to see friends I haven't had the chance to see im some time, but I alo got to compete in Sakura Step, a fun little tournamebt hosted by Dylan (Yono), with Jade helping run the show as well. They both did an incredible job, and their manual seeding seems to have worked out as tere were SO many close matches from Pool 1 all the way to the finals. Y'all are amazing people and I'm really impressed with this! (:
I was not quite expecting a podium finish, but after an extrenely close and heartfelt win against Skeeter, and winning the run back against Aaron (Sirius), I secured 2nd!!!!! And even got a bracket reset against Rana in grandfinals with a Zeta CSP AAA and 36p PFC on New York Evolved Type C. my tournament nerves historically get the better of me, but I think this was exactly what I need to start learning to get over that. Finally being able to hold my own with players that I've looked up to for so, so long, is nothing short of empowering. Now it's time to carry the confidence to bigger events. I'm so happy these three players pushed me to my limit. 💜💜💜
For now, I'm just happy I finally got to sleep before heading home ^^ till next time!!!
