Providing Safe, Clean Drinking Water
Raising funds to provide clean water from a sustainable source to communities in need
Help Save Lives, One Drop at a Time: SKY WELL
Waterborne diseases like cholera, dysentery, and typhoid claim countless lives in West Africa every year. For millions of families, the daily struggle to find clean, safe drinking water is a matter of life or death. At One Season Foundation, in partnership with Sheikh Qaribullah Nasiru Kabara, a prominent Islamic scholar and leader known for his community service and advocacy for social welfare (learn more: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qaribullah_Nasiru_Kabara), we believe access to clean water is not just a luxury—it’s a fundamental human right. That’s why we’re asking for your support in the Sky Well initiative to change the future for these vulnerable communities.
The Crisis We Must Address
In West Africa, waterborne diseases are one of the leading causes of death and illness:
Cholera alone takes over 100,000 lives annually in sub-Saharan Africa.
Diarrheal diseases account for 8% of all deaths in children under five.
The economic cost of waterborne illnesses is staggering, draining $1.5 billion annually from the region’s healthcare systems and economy.
These numbers are not just statistics—they represent the real-life toll of inadequate access to clean water. Children, the elderly, and the most vulnerable suffer every day.
The Power of Clean Water
But there’s hope. Access to clean, safe water is proven to:
Eliminate pathogens: Atmospheric Water Generators (AWGs) produce water free from harmful bacteria, viruses, and parasites.
Promote better hygiene: Clean water is the foundation for improved sanitation and disease prevention.
Improve health and education: Healthier communities mean fewer illnesses, better school attendance, and improved cognitive development, especially for children.
