Keanu Reeves once gave away a substantial portion of his earnings from The Matrix sequels to help fund the films’ special effects and costume teams. Although viral claims that he donated $70 million are exaggerated, Reeves is known for his generosity toward film crews. He also reportedly gifted Harley-Davidson motorcycles to members of the stunt team working on The Matrix Reloaded.
Interestingly, Reeves was once a talented ice hockey goalkeeper who dreamed of playing professionally. His nickname was “The Wall” because of his goalkeeping abilities. He also played bass guitar in a rock band called Dogstar and famously performed many of his own stunts in the John Wick movies. Despite his Hollywood fame, Reeves has developed a reputation for being remarkably down-to-earth.

Your Monday friendly reminder: kindness always wins! I’m so thankful that little girl in middle school found her way back to believing in herself, even when the bullies tried to tell her who she was.

As adults and parents, we set the example. I hope we can lead with kindness and show our sons and daughters what it means to lift each other up instead of tearing each other down. A reminder we adults can use often, too!
