This Halloween, I was inspired by the surrealist, Jean Cocteau, who created and inspired dreamlike imagery beyond logic. I am accompanied by a donkey. Representing the heavy weight of societal expectations And bourgeois education dragging down the individual subconscious. I wish I had known Cocteau.

“Only mystery keeps us alive. Only mystery”
A quote from , Federico Garcia Lorca.
The great playwrite who was assassinated before he could finish his play “ La Bola Negra”

Go and see this film!!!
La Bola Negra. 🌑
A transformational experience.

Pho 75 in Philly might have been one of the best bowls of pho that I’ve ever had…. 🍜

Apparently the Vietnamese culture in Philly is huuuuge. It was so hard to pick one pho spot to try out, but had to go with the Pho 75. If you’ve never been, it’s a no-frills kinda establishment that’s cash only.

My favorite Pho 75 locations are now: Philly and Falls Church

Happy Halloween 🎃!

Pondering what’s next… ✨

After years of working all the time, momming to maybe a slightly too intense degree, and constantly filling my days with tasks, I’m starting to realize that keeping busy doesn’t necessarily quiet the mind.

Maybe it just keeps me from asking the bigger questions.

So now I’m trying something new. Slowing down. Sitting with the quiet. And asking myself something that feels surprisingly difficult…

What do I want? What do I really want? For me.

Not what needs to get done. Not what everyone else needs from me. Just… me.

You’d think that would be an easy question to answer. Turns out, not so much.

Anyone else finding this part of life a little challenging? 🤍
