Really proud of the work my friends at @riplreports are doing. This is a new wave of independent media spearheaded by people who didn’t do it because somebody asked them to, or paid them to. They did it cause the people needed it 🙏🏾. Make sure to follow them for more 🤞🏾

A Florida man jumped into action as rising floodwaters trapped elderly neighbors inside their homes.

Rick Addante helped rescue his 80-year-old neighbor, who recently underwent open-heart surgery, and his dog, Bella, after floodwaters rose to knee level inside their Palm Bay home Monday.

Video shows Addante working alongside Florida wildlife officers to carry the man and his dog through flooded streets to a waiting airboat.
