Today 4 years ago I bought my first skates as an adult, not knowing how that would change my life. How I would make new friends outside my own bubble. People I could learn from in skating and in life. How they would push me to try new things and overcome frustrations. How I would find a community.

How it would improve my physical and mental health. My relationship with my body & my confidence.

How skating would take me places—literally. Now, I plan trips around skate spots, workshops, and festivals. I even got to organize my own international event with my Berlin crew. How it would make me fall back in love with this city a little bit.

Of course, it hasn’t all been smooth rides and sunshine (yes, even the skate world has its share of toxic vibes —who knew?). But despite the tiny stones along the way, this journey has enriched my life in ways I never expected.
