Musk wants bored billionaires to swipe right on your bills. Elon Musk posted on X that he is making an app where people upload their bills and bored billionaires swipe right to pay them. In everyday terms, strangers would list their bills and debts like a dating profile. A billionaire with time on his hands would pick one and pay it. Zoom out, and Musk already runs X Money, where users can send each other cash. Would you upload your bills for a billionaire to pay, or keep them private? Sources: K24 Digital, 247 Wall St

Is everyone okay with me libbing out during the Bills game? 🫪 But in all seriousness, it was great to see @nycmayor again, meet @aoc for the first time, and thank Gov. @govkathyhochul for passing MAiD in New York State. When my husband was dying of terminal cancer in 2022, he wished he had the bodily autonomy to end his life on his terms instead of suffering from immense pain every single day while his body slowly starved him to death. It was so insane to us that right across the river, just a few miles away, NJ allowed terminally ill patients to end their lives on their own terms while in New York—the state Rob was born, raised, lived, and died in—that option wasn’t available to him. It was the ultimate betrayal. Earlier this year, Hochul signed off on legislation that offers this option to terminally ill New Yorkers, and it finally went into law a few months ago. While Rob and I both wished he was able to do this when he was living out his final months, I’m glad other people in Rob’s situation will have access to more control over the end of their lives. We understand it is cruel to force our household pets to suffer from painful terminal illnesses. I’m glad this common sense is being extended to terminally ill human beings who can decide for themselves how they want to go out when fate has already made the ultimate decision for them. (And I’m sure Rob would be glad that his fellow WNYer did all of this…on top of finally getting the congestion pricing program up and running, so thanks for that too!) Go out and vote (for Dems), everyone. And go Bills 💙🤘🏾❤️
Happy Halloween Eve!!! I got my first ever Evernight box this week and this gorgeous beauty was waiting for me inside. I haven’t had a chance to read it yet, but thought I’d share its beautiful art and sprayed edges. Has anyone read this one? I’m off work and today’s agenda is…go get candy for the trick-or-treaters. Do some writing. Continue reading Kiss Slay Replay. Watch my favorite campy horror movie Waxwork. Any Halloween plans? . . . . . . . . #horror #reading #bookstagram #evernight #illumicrate
In response to the murder of Javits Frimpong, I am calling on Ghanaian and Ghanaian American mental health professionals across the United States to come together. The first step is a conversation about what support is needed, who is already responding, and how we can contribute thoughtfully with respect for Javits’s family and those directly affected. If you are a mental health professional, educator, researcher, or graduate student who would like to participate, please complete the interest form through the link in my bio. Please share this post or tag a professional who may want to join us. 🇬🇭 #GhanaianMentalHealthProfessionals #GhanaianDiaspora #GhanaianCommunity #CommunityCare #DrAlice
