After 5 drip filling, shaving off the excess and sanding, I think the result isn’t too bad! Working with satin finishes is always tricky because of the thin layer of polyurethane and trying to match the satin consistency. I did went a little too deep on the sanding but I was able to stop before it was too late. Working back to a gloss is a bit longer but less of a headache. I wouldn’t call that repair a pro job but it’ll do the trick preventing the table to split and protect the wood from temp and humidity changes.
Thinking of going live to do the fret polishing and final setup, do you want to see that?
Anyway, it’ll be covered by a sticker! 😝😂
