Well sh*t.

I didn’t realize when I posted a little love story of Kojak on my story feed last Sunday for his Adoption Day Anniversary, that I would be saying goodbye to him 5 days later. 🌈

My friends all came over last night to give him the going away party he deserved, showering him with sausages, rib eye steak, fish heads, carrot cake, and love. He ate like a king, played with his puppy pals, and lavished in the attention.

Annie, Renee, and I surrounded him with love this morning at home while we helped him across the rainbow bridge. Reminiscing about his adoption and telling funny Kojak stories. He gave a final wag of his tail at the sounds of our laughter through our tears.

My boy, my best friend, soul dog, and constant companion for the past 12 years is now free of his pain. @anne_5 & @arieglass, I’m sure he has treed 175 bears on his river walk with Mary, Todd, and Finlee by now.

Thanks for the love, Kojak. And a lifetime of memories. 🐾🐾🐾🐾
