Paloma Valencia

Last weekend at EXPO Chicago, I debuted Bueno, Bonito y Barato: my love letter to the disappearing storefronts of the Midwest. Through a combination of printmaking techniques, film photography, and architectural drafting, I spent months documenting the diners, auto-body shops, and corner stores that shaped my sense of place. This body of work is the culmination of 10 years of living in Chicago. Thank you @youngarts for the opportunity to honor these spaces and the stories they hold.
