TRIPLE DIGITS THIS WEEK: PROTECT YOUR PETS FROM HEAT STROKE!

Houston is heating up, and so is the risk of heat exhaustion and heat stroke in pets. As temps hit the triple digits, here’s what you need to know:

Signs of Heat Stroke in Pets:
	•	Excessive panting or drooling
	•	Bright red or pale gums
	•	Weakness, lethargy, or collapse
	•	Vomiting or diarrhea
	•	Confusion or seizures

How to Keep Your Pet Safe:
	•	Walk early or late—never on hot pavement
	•	Always provide fresh, cool water
	•	Never leave pets in a parked car—even for a minute
	•	Provide shade or AC access during the day
	•	Keep brachycephalic (flat-faced) breeds and senior pets indoors in AC

If your pet is overheating:
Wet them down with cool (not cold!) water and call us ASAP. Heat stroke is an emergency.

Let’s keep your pets safe, cool, and healthy through this heat wave.
Call us if you have any questions or concerns—we’re here to help.
