A Love Letter to Band:

Showtime,
Thank you for allowing someone that didn’t become immersed in marching band until he got to Howard the chance to grow his love of music on the trumpet and euphonium. A huge shoutout to the elite members of the trumpet section. The past 4 years have been an absolute experience, there’s no other way to put it, and I’m grateful to the people that I’ve made memories with. LLFA21 and CAKEWALK 🤫
To the Eta Omega chapter,
On a whim in the Fall of 2022 I ended up making one of the best decisions in my life , and that was to pursue membership into Kappa Kappa Psi. To my LB’s and staff, I sincerely appreciate you for the great times. To my sons, thank you for being sponges and growing into admirable young men. To fall 24, I have no doubt that you will uphold the standard. Being apart of the second ever HBCU NED Top Chapter is an experience I’ll never forget. Heed the creed as always, I’m one call away! AEA 🔱

Thank you for allowing me to learn, represent, and dedicate myself to this storied program. To my section, thank you for instilling the mindset necessary to show up everyday with an energized spirit. Council, you showed me what being elite looks like and means. We truly Came to Play. The highs, the lows, and everything in between shaped me into the bandsman I am today. I leave with pride and the comfort of knowing that you will always have my heart. Fall 21 forever.
To Eta Omega,
Band is a fraternity within itself. However, Kappa Kappa Psi has shaped me like no other. You all showed me what and community on a daily basis looks like. Through a common love, I found men that I will call my brothers for life, and for that I am grateful. It was an honor to serve as treasurer in consecutive years, and there were many challenges. However, winning Top Chapter is the true definition of Striving for the Highest, as our hard work was rewarded. To my sons, Fall ‘24, I have full faith that you will lead with the same spirit that was instilled into you. Carry the torch well.
