well 5th grade me would be pissed…
After being a 3200m runner my freshman year, to whatever I was last year, I can now happily say that I’m an 800m runner and relay warrior. This season has been a series of challenges to push me to my max, to leave my comfort zone, and speed everything up a little. I’ve raced so many 800s and 400s this season that I can’t keep track. I went from being an alternate at State last year to qualifying for 3 events and running 4 times this year! It’s incredible to see how much everything has changed and I cannot be more proud of myself. Me from a year ago, a month ago, even a week ago would not believe what I’ve just accomplished. From 4th at State in the 4x800m to 11th in the 800m! Little 5th grade me hated the 800m and now look where I am!
