This EP we’ve just released in 2025 holds a very special meaning for me. I’ve known some of these tracks for years, ever since January 28th, 2022, when I experienced one of the most remarkable moments on a dancefloor. I was at Surreal Park, on the Nômad stage, with @arthusbr — an artist who is also part of our history at Indica — masterfully conducting the warm-up. Near the end of his set, one track deeply caught my attention: a magical, dense, and immersive melody that impacted not only me, but the entire dancefloor. It was a moment of collective euphoria. Later, I found out it was Emee - Sequence. Since then, it’s been an immediate connection — minimalism and depth in perfect harmony.
This track stayed in my memory for a long time. And on January 6th, 2023, I had a new encounter with this sound, this time at Raw Room, also at Surreal Park. But now it wasn’t just an isolated track — it was the full EP, presented in a set filled with Emee’s own productions. It was in that moment that I also discovered Animal and Kasa90, tracks that, together with Sequence, make up this work which, in my view, is one of the finest records of the Brazilian minimal underground. I don’t say this out of mere excitement — I truly consider @emee.br one of the most authentic artists in the current scene, with a very well-defined musical identity.
