Yesterday, Timbertruss hosted the Industry Afternoon on Forklift Safety and Overhead Powerlines, where their 10 minute safety video was unveiled. Chief Executive Officer for Timbertruss, Mark McDonald, spoke passionately about the development of the video, and the need for industry to collectively utilise the learnings from an incident in 2022. "We felt it important to share it with the industry. Significant lessons came through that... We're all trying to ensure that we have a wonderful, safe industry," said Mark before the video viewing.

FTMA feels strongly that this video, and indeed the safety opportunities, need to be shared across the sector. FTMA will be further sharing the video in the weeks to come, as will Timbertruss.

Another crucial benefit of yesterday was that FTMA Partners were able to present - showcasing paramount safety abilities and features of their forklift machines and equipment. Chris Littlewood from Combilift Australia, also included Ashleigh Dobson from Speedshield Technologies with the AiVA Pedestrian Detection System, Craig Armstrong-Fray from Baumann Sideloaders Australia, Julian Christianz from Truck Vision Systems, and Paul Harazim from Roadpod.

FTMA conducted a live webinar during yesterday's session, which will also be available soon to f&t manufacturers nationwide who weren't able to attend or log on.
