OH MY GOSH!!

My STICKS ON FIRE BLOOMED! I have had this plant for 8 years and this is the first time it's bloomed 😊

This succulent is also known as "Pencil cactus" or Euphorbia tirucall. My plant is in a pot and gets mostly sun. I rarely water it and it's always pale 😓 How can I make it turn orange?

Remember that this plant's sap is sticky, milky, and toxic, containing mild toxins that can irritate skin and eyes. Consuming the sap can severely burn the mouth, tongue, and lips. Eye exposure can lead to blindness. I know someone that had a dog roll in the plant and it suffered burns all over 😓 if I'm going to cut the branches, I make sure to have a paper towel with me to dry the sap.

I just read that the color intensifies in cooler temps and especially in winter. Maybe try partial shade or a cooler part of the yard? 🤷🏻‍♂️
