Meet Parsa Abasalt (@theparsaeffect , @parcique ), who just finished his 2nd year of the Graphic Design program in the advertising stream.

Parsa started out in podcasting and spent time in music and photography studios back in Tehran, Iran, where his love for storytelling first took shape. Being raised in an artistic family with a graphic designer and painter for a mother heavily influenced him. He grew up dreaming of becoming a filmmaker or a writer, possibly also a rock star. Parsa is most inspired by mystery, emotion, and the lust for bringing ideas to life, whether through graphic design, motion graphics and video, or through leading a team to create something bigger than themselves. As a 2nd year student, his work was recognized with an award at George Brown College’s 2025 Year End Show.

Parsa’s got some big plans kept under wraps, but he plans to get into art direction and videography after graduation.
