Love you guys are doing this pod #727 here! Sad None of us were allowed to come back for season two but glad you’re still telling the backstory of season one:)

"Saya tahu amanah saya. Jawatan ini terbatas. Mungkin saya meninggal dunia, uzur atau kalah. Jadi, selagi masih ada ruang dan kuasa, saya mahu lakukan yang terbaik." - PM @anwaribrahim_my

Satu pengakuan jujur yang menyentuh hati tentang erti sebenar sebuah amanah. Mengetepikan perbezaan politik demi memastikan pemerintahan Islam dilihat adil, bijaksana, dan benar-benar mengangkat martabat rakyat di setiap negeri.

The same thing that makes ibuprofen and other NSAIDs work on pain also lowers the protection on your stomach lining...

On a recent Ask Me Anything episode, a listener asked me, “How bad is ibuprofen really?”

I hear it all the time in my telehealth practice, usually from someone who wants to know if one or two for a headache or cramps is okay.

Here’s what’s happening...

Ibuprofen, naproxen, and aspirin are NSAIDs, and they work by blocking enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2) that make prostaglandins. Prostaglandins drive inflammation, swelling, and pain, which is why blocking them helps.

But they also protect your stomach lining, reduce excess stomach acid, stimulate gut-protective mucus, and support your kidneys and blood flow to your liver.

So when we block them, we’re not only turning down pain. We’re turning down the things that protect your gut.

The more you take and the more often you take it, the more likely you are to run into issues.

But I don’t want you to be afraid of it! If one ibuprofen a month is what gets you through a day of bad cramps, or a headache is keeping you from sleep, the benefit can outweigh the risk.

Use the lowest dose that works, as infrequently as you can, and if you take it regularly, check in with your doctor.

If you reach for it often, it’s worth trying natural options like curcumin, boswellia, white willow bark, and magnesium, and asking what’s behind the pain in the first place.

Comment PAIN and I’ll send you the article, plus my other resources. ❤️❤️

Have you ever swapped ibuprofen for something else? Tell me below what’s worked for you!

Some moments in life you know you’ll remember forever, but then there are moments that you know have changed you forever. This was one of them. 🥹❤️

I still don’t have the words to describe what it felt like to watch my beautiful little nephew Henry, take his first breath and come into this world. I don’t think I’ll ever forget that feeling.

I’m so bloody proud of you sissy. Watching your strength, your determination and then seeing you hold your baby boy for the very first time. I wish you could have seen yourself through my eyes. You were absolutely incredible 😭😭😭😭

And Richard, you were AMAZING and you are bloody amazing darls. The way you showed up for my sister throughout it all. I also think we made such a great little team, and I genuinely couldn’t have picked a better human to be by her side, not just for that moment, but for this next chapter of raising your beautiful little man together.

Henry, you have absolutely no idea how lucky you are to have these two as your mum and dad. And of course me as your Mumty.

What a privilege to witness the beginning of your little life and watch my sister become a Mum. My heart is so full. I’ll carry this one with me forever ❤️ @dannig05 @rjbrougham
