Neha Bora has sparked a controversy with her remarks claiming that women are sexually exploited by priests inside temples. Her statement has drawn criticism for making sweeping allegations against an entire community of religious figures. Critics argue that such serious accusations should be backed by evidence rather than presented as generalisations that could hurt religious sentiments. The controversy has also raised questions about the responsibility that comes with being a research scholar, particularly when making statements on sensitive social and religious issues. While concerns surrounding women's safety and exploitation deserve attention, critics believe that using broad accusations without proper research and context weakens the credibility of the argument itself.
