Another year of being a princess 🎀🩰💅🏻 11.02
It’s not over ‘til it’s over. @nycmarathon 🥈😤 Had to tell myself this more than times than usual yesterday. It wasn’t a day where I felt perfect, but it didn’t need to be. @mountainroche and I had a pre-race call before I left for NYC and his advice was “just be Jess.” I don’t think he knew that something so simple could give me so much confidence. There was no over-engineering or overanalyzing anything. I stacked a lot of imperfect, grindy bricks at altitude and in the AZ heat this summer. The workouts that I thought were pretty “meh” or a “check the box/get it done” type days ended up being the ones that David said made me better, not the workouts where most splits/reps/things went to plan. All that was left to do was get to NYC healthy, enjoy it all, take whatever the race had to throw at me, and “just be Jess” through all five boroughs. • • • I sent David a DM two years ago after the NYC Marathon after being a fan of him, Megan, and the pod for quite sometime. He was so gracious with his time and lent an ear when I needed it the most. I told him I wanted to get better, but keep it fun. I don’t think a lot of coaches would care about that second part as much as the first. But he did. It has been a very fun two years of working together and discovering my best self. I owe a lot of this to him. So @mountainroche… just keep being you, too! Thank you to the @nyrr team (Dorian, Sam, Christine, everyone!) for taking a chance on us and making NYC feel like home. The @brooksrunning fam helped us share our unique journeys to NYC. The love at Brooks runs so deep and I feel so lucky. Thanks to Connor, my Dad, and my besties for making me feel like I can full send it and they would still love me even if it all went sideways. & thanks to @set4go_llc for getting me to every start line healthy the last 4 years. Congrats to @sheilachepkiruiken & @hellenobiri… thank you for getting the best out of us all yesterday. Can’t say thank you enough for all the sweet messages I have received. Down bad crying on the plane reading through them all. I love this sport so much! Left it all on the field on my way to a WMM podium!! 😭 📷: @katrinagaisford
Finish the year STRONG ⚡️❤️‍🔥💪🧠 comment “SUSTAIN” to join us in becoming our strongest, healthiest self 🤝 (34,000 super humans on Vitality) 👏 💭 The intention: health is wealth and it’s starts within (so take care of your mind and soul while training a strong body that lasts) 💪 The training split (pick ~3-4): Monday: upper body push Tuesday: fully body (upper bias) Wednesday: upper body pull Thursday: lower body (my fav) Friday: arms & core Saturday: fully body (lower bias) 🍳 The nutrition: Week 1 we will focus on AWARENESS 👏 this includes challenges like chewing food 50% slower, screen free meals and more 🫂 The community: This is the secret sauce. 34k people who will be a positive and empowering support on your journey through the holidays (I will be in there daily with coaching/support) Final thought: It’s not about how you start, but about how you finish 💯 anybody can start the year off right.. but VERY FEW stay consistent, connected and aligned through NOV-DEC. Do you want to be common, or uncommon? Comment “sustain” to lock in SUSTAINABLY 🤝 📸 @joshbodkin #sustain #training #lifestyle

Happy Halloween from Bamboo (& Mr Kitty) 🎃 Bamboo was found by my sister and nephews in the south of France in July, just 4-5 weeks old and abandoned by her mother in a patch of bamboo by the road. She was starving and dehydrated in the heatwave so they took her in and looked after her over the summer. She was too young to have the rabies vaccine and travel so she went to a lovely foster mum for six weeks. She has now arrived safely in London - my sis was unable to adopt her permanently due to the family dog so Bamboo is now a little sister to Mr Kitty. Happy to report that after two weeks of a slow introduction (@thecatdaddy method) Bamboo and Mr Kitty are now friends and the cat distribution system remains undefeated 🐾🧡 #adoptdontshop #cat

All mobilisations are called off and thank you to everyone for their support throughout the trial. The prosecution is looking to set a retrial, details of which will be shared once agreed.
