Hi from Canada. I think you should keep your money box and start putting change in it again. Even just for old times sake. We call them piggy banks...but I think I like money box better. Cheerio

I have two money boxes from when I was little but I just recently took all of the change out and exchanged it for dollar bills❤️❤️❤️

Money banks are good when you don’t want to spend money. Save up, spend, start over. Teaches you to discipline your spending habits which I need to start doing.

I still use cash, " CASH IS KING" When technology goes down in our shops & supermarkets, i can still buy.

I don’t think anyone should be able to refuse cash as it is legal tender in the UK. I also worry about our children as I have two teenage boys who rarely use cash and use was their phone to pay for everything. I don’t think that you have that same experience of having a certain amount of cash and then budgeting what you can afford to buy with what you have left. It’s far too easy to just ping it up against a machine.

Yes, it is truly sad that all the wonderful things that people of our age (the “Boomers”), had and experienced the new generation will never understand nor appreciate 😢
