This woman was given her father’s ashes in a box—and inside were unprocessed bone fragments, including part of his skull. Here’s why that happened, and how cremation has changed since the 1970s. That looks like multiple people’s bones to me. I have my father‘s ashes and his ashes, and even his bones wouldn’t even fill the bottom of that box never get a bath that day.

There are some Buddhist families that prefer it that way… must’ve been a mixed up between the counselor and the crematory operator… Communication is key

What do you do next if you find out a family member has been cremated like this? Asking for curiosity

It’s not trauma it life. Life and death to be precise. Should not be palatable

Good thing, not everyone is Catholic. My grandparents are in the mausoleum at the cemetery , up in the glass shelf wall, in bronze “book ends”. It’s a lot cleaner and timeless than your body and casket, soaking and rotting underwater, in the ground. If you’ve never seen what exhumation looks like, it’s crazy. It’ll make you think twice.
