I was working full-time as Finance Director at a local non-profit, running for City Council, & had recently become a certified resource family for foster youth in our area.

I was preparing & delivering meals from my home, to elder & immune-compromised folks in need.

In the midst of this all, I contracted the notorious COVID-19.

Little did I know, it would throw me for a loop of a lifetime.

I went from high functioning, community-focused involvement, & overachiever—to barely recalling events from earlier in the day, the need to break down ANY task into teensy bite-size morsels, & experiencing a myriad of symptoms so severe, that put the life I worked so hard for—

Rendering me disabled.

Since then, it all seems like one magnificently multifaceted murky watercolour blur w blips, dips, & yes—sparkles along the way…
