One more story to tell 📚... @electric_forest is indescribable, but I'll call it the greatest place on earth 🌎. Year 4 might go down as the best yet

PMDD, or as we called her, Pam DD, almost took Amanda from me. I almost lost my person, the one who has always felt like home to me. For a while, it felt like we were losing something neither of us ever wanted to let go of.

But after Amanda’s surgery, Pam DD was GONE. Just like that. And I got my Amanda back. And that’s when I realized I never actually lost her. And she knew she never lost me.

PMDD is no joke, and watching someone you love go through it gives you a whole different appreciation for just how much it can affect someone’s life. I’m so incredibly proud of Amanda for everything she’s been through and everything she’s done to get to where she is today.

Even during the time we weren’t technically together, I was still her biggest cheerleader. There was never a question of whether I wanted to be there for her. I love her, and I have zero regrets about being part of her journey through one of the hardest chapters of her life.

More than anything, I’m grateful she trusted me enough to be vulnerable with me, to let me see the hard days, and to let me love and take care of her through them.

And now? Everything is different. We get to experience each other and our relationship without Pam DD constantly inserting herself where she doesn’t belong.

Through it all, we never really stopped being us. We just had a very unwelcome third wheel for a while.

Turns out the only breakup we really needed was with Pam DD. Good riddance! #PMDD #PMDDawareness #longdistance #wlw #invisibleillness https://www.iapmd.org/pmdd

Suéltenme un rato 😭😭😭

This week on @imopodcasts, we’re joined by one of the most talented and brilliant people I know, @Questlove. His knowledge of and passion for music is second to none — and he walks us through where that love began, the unlikely origin story of The Roots, and why he’s made it his mission to preserve and celebrate the legacy of Black music.

We also get into a more personal conversation about his relationship with success, and how he learned that, sometimes, the most important thing you can do for yourself is say no. It’s a thoughtful, funny, and fascinating conversation with a singular mind and talent.

We hope you’ll tune in now on YouTube or listen wherever you get your podcasts.

Even though it’s a solo race, it’s never a solo effort 💚✨ I know for sure I wouldn’t have made it to the start line without this community. I got here thanks to my team and the ones who have kept me afloat. From reminders, to runs, to encouragement- that even when it’s not pretty or shiny, we can be there and make it to start- and the ones you hold with you to take you to the finish 💚✨
