In austria we have a very similar candy, but we often put sugar on them which makes them less gem looking. "Naked" ones like these are harder to find. Usually they have fruit flavors and theyre available in fancier candy stores. Around christmas also in supermarkets but these are always with the sugar crust

This is Jack. He is a ballot-sniffing dog in Los Angeles County, and one of many pups across the country helping to keep elections safe and secure. After mail-in and drop box ballots arrive at the ballot processing center, their first stop is with Jack, who checks them for any dangerous substances that could harm election workers. After a sniff screening, the ballots will be examined, checked for proper signatures, scanned, and tabulated by teams of 50 or more election workers and observers in a bipartisan, publicly livestreamed process. As a neutral, nonpartisan professional himself, Jack isn’t rewarded based on if he finds something, but rather given a few minutes of playtime after each round of ballots checked.
