I had always wondered what it would feel like to work professionally with the same people you once trained with. Luckily, I’ve had a few beautiful opportunities to experience that, both on stage and on screen.

A couple of years back, I had just started working professionally in full force when @meersyed7 graciously shared a script which was very close to his heart, with plans to take it on floor soon. I didn’t have to think twice before coming on board. The story spoke to me in a lot of ways and I didn’t care how and where it was going to be shot.

This turned out to be one of the very first Indie projects which I worked on and the way we did it made it all the more memorable.

We travelled across Western and Southern India in caravans, shooting as we journeyed. A first in many ways, and one that remains especially close to the heart

This series, Yaar Kastoori, is a deeply honest and heartfelt effort by the team at Helmoffalcon studios and it premieres tomorrow (August 3rd,2025) on their official YouTube channel.

Yes, it carries the raw edges of something made on pure passion and limited means, it’s also a story that hits the right notes and perhaps, that’s what makes it worth watching.

It’s one thing to talk about making films. It’s quite another to actually make one. Huge respect and kudos to @meersyed7 and @helmoffalconstudiospvtltd for having the courage and grit to bring their vision to life.🌻
