Great Are You, Lord Jesus 🙏🏽

In just a few hours, my baby girl turns 2, and as I reflect on this milestone, my heart overflows with gratitude.

August 4th, 2023 a day forever etched in my memory. I remember lying there, barely conscious. My blood pressure had skyrocketed to over 200/120 mmHg, and I could sense the frantic energy in the room. Nurses and doctors were running around, voices tense, machines beeping nonstop. In my dazed state, I kept wondering, “Why is everyone panicking?”

I wasn’t allowed to see the baby I had just brought into the world. I was wheeled into a secluded room. Then I heard a doctor ask, “Why is she not making urine?” That was when it hit, my kidneys had shut down.

But God had the final say.

In what can only be described as a miracle, my kidneys began working again(it started making urine). My blood pressure started to stabilize. My strength returned slowly, steadily.

And today? I’m here, healthy and whole. And my daughter? She’s thriving full of life, joy, and purpose.

Every once in a while, the memories come flooding back the beeping machines, the confusion, the fear and then I look at my little girl and remember…

God showed up. And He showed out.

So today, as she turns 2, I don’t just celebrate her life,I celebrate God’s goodness, mercy, and the miracle of our story.

Great are You, Lord Jesus!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽
