Yes, I did it too. I bought a house and then turfed the whole back garden.

I thought it was what a family garden should look like - a large expanse of lawn to run around on - but actually, my experience has been that kids prefer pathways and nooks to explore.

And personally I prefer a ‘view’ in my garden, rather than just a lawn.

It just took me a little time to figure that out 😆🙈
And a LOT of digging.

Have you ever blank-slated a garden? 😬

I absolutely agree. It's best to spend the first year seeing what comes up, or is growing in your garden. You might end up turning out something that you really love. Our garden was very mature, but extremely overgrown when we moved in. I still have many of the shrubs and trees that were in there when I moved in (26 years ago). What turf there was, was in a terrible state, and I took it all up. Never looked back. No turf = more plants 🤣😂

Oh mate! Yep, I've blank slated a garden. Our garden has been evolving over the past 12 years. Yours looks great now!
