XXXV ❂ 0524 — silhouettes and summits
One roll, two seasons, a year in between.
In May–June 2024, I shot the first exposures in the Trièves mountains — wide, quiet landscapes on @kodak #Gold200film with my trusted @canonfrance #CanonAE1. I left the roll unfinished, not yet knowing where it would lead.
Over the following year, I slowly filled the rest — layering portraits of strangers, friends and family onto those same mountain scenes. Faces met forests, bodies blurred with branches. Some frames lined up by chance, others didn’t — but that unpredictability became part of the story.
This project pushed me to think differently. To imagine the final image before it existed, to follow instinct over perfection. My first try at double exposure — messy, surprising, and one of the most creatively fulfilling rolls I’ve shot.
No filters. Just one frame layered over another — two stories told through one piece of film.
