ucl nights.

what’s the verdict?

We finally made our way to @sham.tseng.bbq Sham Tseng BBQ in Monterey Park, and we were SO excited to try their famous Peking duck after hearing so many great things!

We ordered the HALF duck, and let me tell you… we should have gone BIG and ordered the FULL! The skin was beautifully crispy, rich, and delicious. Every bite had us wishing we had ordered more!

Here’s what else made it to our table:
- Half Peking Duck
- Green Beans
- Scallion & Mushroom Pancake
- Spare Ribs with Pumpkin
- Korean Spare Ribs
- Rice
- Hot tea to wash it all down

Everything was yummy, but that duck was definitely the STAR of the show!

A little tip: Since this is a smaller, more intimate restaurant, I’d recommend visiting during off-peak dining hours if you prefer a quieter experience. We arrived right around lunchtime, and the place was packed!

Overall, a wonderful meal, delicious food, and definitely a spot we’d revisit. Next time, we’re not making the mistake of ordering half a duck… FULL DUCK IT IS!
